Animate old photos with gentle, natural movement

Bring a restored portrait to life as a 5-second clip. The people breathe, blink and shift slightly; the camera stays still and their faces stay the same.

Subtle on purpose

Many photo animators add big smiles, head turns or talking. Genizes keeps it quiet: small, believable movement that feels like the moment the photo was taken, not a cartoon.

The clip above was made from Private Leo Dixon's 1915 studio portrait after restoring it.

Restore first, then animate

Animation works best on a clean photo, so every clip starts from the restored version. You see the restored photo for free, then decide whether to make the clip.

Share it with the family

Download the clip as a video file to send by message or show at a gathering. It plays on any phone.

How it works

  1. Take a picture of the print

Use your phone's camera or upload a scan. Lay the photo flat, avoid glare, and fill the frame.

  2. We repair it

AI removes damage, sharpens faces and adds color. You see a free preview in about half a minute.

  3. Keep it or bring it to life

Download the full-size photo, or turn it into a short clip with gentle, natural movement.

Questions

How much does an animation cost?

One animation is included in every pack. The smallest pack is $3.99: one full-size photo and one animation.

How long is the clip?

About 5 seconds, which is enough to see a breath, a blink or a small movement.

Does it work on group photos?

Yes, but small faces move less and are harder to keep exact. Portraits of one to three people give the best clips.

Will the person look different?

We ask the model to keep faces, clothes and the scene the same. If something looks wrong, tell us at support@genizes.com.
