Terms of Use

These Terms apply when you use genizes.com (“Genizes”, “we”). By using the site or buying credits, you agree to them. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act or any other law that protects you.

The service

Genizes uses artificial intelligence (AI) to repair, colorize and animate photos you upload. AI results are reconstructions: they can change small details, and badly damaged areas or small faces are the AI's best guess. Always compare with your original.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to sign in or buy credits. You sign in with a code sent to your email; keep access to that email private. You can delete your account at any time from your Account page.

Your photos

• You keep all rights to the photos you upload and to the results.
• You give us permission to store and process your photos only to provide the service to you. We don't use them for anything else.
• You confirm you have the right to use each photo you upload. Don't upload illegal content, sexual content involving minors, intimate images of someone without their consent, or photos meant to deceive, harass or impersonate a living person.
• We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Prices and credits

• Previews are free. Credits unlock a full-size photo without a watermark, or make an animation.
• Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. You pay once; there's no subscription.
• Credits don't expire, can't be transferred, and have no cash value. Deleting your account deletes unused credits.
• Every photo includes one free second try if the result doesn't look right.

Refunds

• Write to support@genizes.com within 30 days of your purchase. We refund the unused part of your pack: the price multiplied by the share of credits you haven't used. Credits already used aren't refundable.
• When we refund, the refunded credits are removed from your account.
• If you dispute a payment with your bank, your account is put on hold until the dispute is resolved. A card used to get credits and then reverse the payment may be blocked from future purchases.

Availability

We work to keep Genizes available, but it can be interrupted for maintenance or by our providers. If a restoration or animation fails, the credit isn't used or is returned.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for the loss of photos you didn't keep a copy of; keep your originals and download the results you want to keep. This doesn't limit our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date below and tell signed-in users before it applies. Purchases already made stay under the Terms in force when you bought.

Law and language

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and of Canada. These Terms are also available in French; the French version is shown first to visitors browsing in French.
